Their tacos al pastor are amazing because they have a proper trompo—a vertical spit that's essential for authentic al pastor. They also have a great mezcal selection that pairs perfectly with the vibrant flavors. Unfortunately, lately they are also building burgers, and despite the fact that they are trendy, I think that they are losing part of the essence that made me recommend them at the first time. The tacos al pastor remain the star here, carved fresh from the trompo with that perfect char and served with roasted pineapple. This is where locals go for late-night tacos and expertly crafted agave cocktails, but stick to what made them great in the first place.
