Cervecería Catalana: still the happy place, walk in and wait. A teacher pointed us here in a cool hunting class a few decades ago. Still today, any visit to Barcelona includes this room. Tapas is the specialty. The jamón was special this time. Order the pincho de solomillo, pincho de gambas, navajas, and tortilla de patata. Pimientos de padrón, anchoas, and manchego. Local wine, or a caña. Clara or tinto de verano if you want to go light. Finish always with crema catalana.
